I Am Saved! No Longer Enslaved!

Enslaved definition is to be held in bondage.

Saved Webster’s Definition: delivered from sin and from spiritual death : rescued from eternal punishment

God sent His Son Jesus to bear all the penalty of our sins on the cross and every curse. We now have access to God through Jesus. What has God freed and rescued us from?

God has rescued and delivered us from hell and eternal damnation.

John 3:16: 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Colossians 1:13-14: He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

God has rescued and delivered us from sickness and diseases.

Psalm 103:1-3: Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.

God rescued and delivered us from sin and shame.

Romans 8:1-2:  Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

God has rescued us from poverty.

Galatians 4:6-7:Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.

Galatians 3:29:29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

We gain access to what Jesus has done for us by receiving Him as Lord of our lives, believing on Jesus and speaking it with our mouth.

Romans 10:9-11: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.

Testimony: The week of my birthday I asked God to give me more than enough and that I would get back safely from my trip. I had some unexpected situations and expenses came up which made it look like my prayer was in vain. I learned from my Aunt Mary that where there is a need, you plant a seed. I sowed my seed and it multiplied. Money came back into my account, and people gave money to me for my birthday. A song came in my spirit by Travis Greene “All things are working for my good.” God gave me my song of deliverance. He was faithful to His word.

I am saved! No longer enslaved!

Prayer: God, thank you for sending your Son Jesus to save me. Jesus not only saved me from hell, I am saved from sickness, diseases, curses, poverty, sin, guilt, and shame. I believe and receive what Jesus did for me on the cross. I speak it with my mouth, and I have access to everything God has for me. In Jesus name! Amen!

God Renews and Refresh, When We Overcome The Flesh!

We all have to deal with our flesh daily (the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life). However, it becomes easier to overcome the flesh by yielding to the Holy Spirit and God’s will for our lives.

The presence of God through worship helps us overcome the flesh. The character of God and how holy he is will make us search ourselves.

Mary Magdalene in Luke 7:36-50 went to where Jesus was. She had many sins. The Pharisees were talking about her and judging her. Mary worshipped at Jesus’s feet, poured the expensive perfume on his feet, and wiped his feet with her tears and dried them with her hair. Jesus told Mary “Because you believed your faith has saved you go in peace.” Mary’s worship was pure. She gave Jesus an offering with the perfume. She humbled herself by bowing down in worship. Mary was transformed through worshipping Jesus. Please read this passage. It’s very powerful.

Choose to yield to the Holy Spirit to overcome the flesh.

Galatians 5:16 Amplified Version: 16 But I say, walk habitually in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance], and then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature [which responds impulsively without regard for God and His precepts].

Give time to the things of the spirit of God to overcome the flesh. Romans 8:6Now the mind of the flesh is death [both now and forever—because it pursues sin]; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace [the spiritual well-being that comes from walking with God—both now and forever];

Fast to overcome the flesh. In Matthew 17, the disciples asked Jesus why the could not drive out the demons. Jesus said in verse 21 this kind comes out by prayer and fasting.

Testimony: Some mornings it is hard for me to get up to go to work. I set my alarm to get up early. However, after I got up early my body was telling me to go back to sleep. I know if I went back to sleep I would be rushing to get my systems up for work. I had to tell my flesh no. I actually felt better and was able to get more done before I went to work.

Prayer: God, I thank you for putting your spirit in me. I repent for not spending enough time on the spiritual things and gratifying my fleshly desires. God, I sow to the spirit and reap life and peace. God, I can not please you in my flesh. I yield to the Holy Spirit through worship, spending time in the word, and fasting to keep my flesh under the control of God. In Jesus name! Amen!

Do Not Fret, Win The Battle Without A Sweat!

God always causes us to triumph through Him. The unknown can cause us to do things on our own without God. However, when we surrender our challenges and plans to God it becomes easier.

Go to God through prayer and fasting. 2 Chronicles 20:3-12 Jehoshaphat proclaim and fast and he went to God about his problem . Jehoshaphat said ” I don’t know what to do but our eyes are on you.”

Praise God before going into battle. 2 Chronicles 20:21-23 Jehoshaphat appointed singers to praise God in the midst of the battle. It confused the enemy, they fought among themselves and killed each other. The battle was won without a sweat.

People agreeing together is powerful. Two or three gather in the name of Jesus God is in the midst (Matthew 18:20) Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah gathered together in prayer, and fasting and God spoke to them through Jahaziel in the midst of the assembly. 2 Chronicles 20:15-17: 15 He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16 Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel. 17 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’”

Obey God through His word and Him speaking directly to you. Jehoshaphat believed in the word from God and began praising God and they were victorious over their enemies.

Testimony: 2 Chronicle 20 came alive when I had a battle with closing on a home that took longer than expected. I had to stay with my Aunt because the lease was up on the apartment. My spirit was down and my aunt could tell something was wrong. I begin to cry. My Aunt Mary showed compassion to me and God gave her 2 Chronicles 20 for us to stand on. A preacher the same day confirmed what my aunt told me. She said before going into battle send praise first. We went on a fast . We were spending time in the word, no tv or social media. It was like we were in The Garden of Eden fellowshipping, talking, and worshipping God. I begin to say “this is the life!” My spiritual leader at the same time said the same thing and I spotted my aunt in the audience and we began to laugh. I endedup getting the house for less, a tax credit pay out, and house stocked with kitchen appliances. It was sweatless victory!

Do not fret, win the battle without a sweat!

Prayer: God thank you for winning the battle for me through your son Jesus. I give the battle over to you. I do not know what to do, but my eyes are on you. I repent of trying to handle the battle on my own. I fast, praise, and go to you in prayer with the help of other believers and I come out victorious. In Jesus name! Amen!

The Only Way Through, Is To Go Through!

The phrase came through my Aunt Mary as we were having a conversation about God. No one wants to go through challenges. My dad would say “we can’t go through life living off the flower bed of ease.” Most of us would not appreciate what we have if everything came easy. Jesus left us an example when he had to go to the cross to die for us and now He is seated at the right hand of the Father with all power. Everything in life in order to go to the next grade we have to pass the test. People who play video games in order to get to the next level, we have to defeat our opponent. Sports people in order to win the game takes practice, sacrifice, team work, and training, to win the championship. There is no other way but to go through!

Fast to get through. Jesus in Matthew 4 was able go through the wilderness God led Him to because He fasted. The devil knew Jesus would be hungry and weak from fasting, so He tempted him with food, wealth, and power. Each time the devil came at Him He said ”it is written!” Jesus prepared for the test through fasting.

Pray to get through consistently and with your whole heart. James 5:17:17 Elijah was a person just like us. He prayed that it would not rain. And it did not rain on the land for three and a half years! Hezekiah in 2 Kings 20 a prophet told him He was going to die to set his house in order. Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, wept, and prayed earnestly. The prophet came back and said God heard his cry and prayer; God added 15 more years to his life.

A word from God and through His word you can make it through. Hannah in 1 Samuel 1:9-18 was praying with a sincere heart with her lips moving with no sound for a son so much that the Prophet Eli thought she was drunk. Verse 15-18 in Samuel 1:15 Hannah answered, “Sir, I have not drunk any wine or beer. I am deeply troubled, and I was telling the Lord about all my problems. 16 Don’t think I am a bad woman. I have been praying so long because I have so many troubles and am very sad.”17 Eli answered, “Go in peace. May the God of Israel give you what you asked for.” 18 “Oh, thank you, sir!” she exclaimed, and went happily back, and began to take her meals again.

Take the action through faith, trusting in God’s word. 2 Kings 7:3-7 Easy Read Version: There were four men sick with leprosy near the city gate. They said to each other, “Why are we sitting here waiting to die? There is no food in Samaria. If we go into the city, we will die there. If we stay here, we will also die. So let’s go to the Aramean camp. If they let us live, we will live. If they kill us, we will just die.”So that evening the four lepers went to the Aramean camp. When they came to the edge of the camp, no one was there! The Lord had caused the Aramean army to hear the sound of chariots, horses, and a large army. So the soldiers said to each other, “The king of Israel has hired the kings of the Hittites and Egyptians to come against us.”The Arameans ran away early that evening. They left everything behind. They left their tents, horses, and donkeys and ran for their lives.

Praise to get through. Hannah in 1 Samuel 1:19-20: 19-20 The entire family was up early the next morning and went to the Tabernacle to worship the Lord once more. Then they returned home to Ramah, and when Elkanah slept with Hannah, the Lord remembered her petition; in the process of time, a baby boy was born to her. She named him Samuel (meaning “asked of God”) because, as she said, “I asked the Lord for him.”

Testimony: Things were going great for me and financial trouble came. I was so helpless. I begin to have conversation God; “I just got promoted, and closed on my home now I am hit with this financial trouble. My car also broke down. I began to cry out to God and spend time in His word. God gave me a word like Hannah and I held onto it. It got me through. God gave me Isaiah 43:2 Living Translation:When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up—the flames will not consume you. I started praising God like Hannah and God was faithful to His word. God let me know I am with you through this trial. He was letting me know I had to go through to get through. I came out victorious.

The only way through is to go through!

Prayer: God thank you for being with me in every situation. When I pass through the waters I will not drown, and when I walk through the fire I won’t be burned. God I thank you for doing a new thing in me. God I thank you the test takes me to the next level. I am going higher and higher in you. In Jesus name! Amen.

Instead of Singing The Blues, Share God’s Good News!

Webster’s Meaning of Blues: Low spirits, melancholy(depressed). A song of lamentations(passionate expression of grief and sorrow).

Life can cause us to sing the blues with the economy inflation issue, passing of a loved ones, health issues, relationship problems, crime, and financial problems. Jesus informed us that in this life we will have trouble but to be of good cheer that he has overcome the world. Jesus took every problem we have on the cross. He knows what we are going through and guides through His word and the Holy Spirit living on the inside of us. Read Romans 10:9-10 for salvation. Without Jesus we can not make through our trials.

Prayer gets us through painful situations. James 5:13: 13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Jesus was going through a tough situation. He did not want to go to the cross. Jesus prayed in Matthew 26:39: And after going a little farther, He fell face down and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible [that is, consistent with Your will], let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.” Prayer gave Jesus the strength to go to the cross and in the end he rose from the dead with all power and humanity is redeemed.

Praise gives you an inner joy that causes the blues to flee and brings restoration . Put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3.) In 2 Samuel 2:12 David baby died. He was crying and praying for the baby to live, but because he took another man’s wife, and had the man killed the baby died. After he found out the baby died David got up off the floor, cleaned up, and got dressed, and worshiped God. 2 Samuel 12:22-2322 David said, “While the baby was still living, I cried and refused to eat because I thought, ‘Who knows? Maybe the Lord will feel sorry for me and let the baby live.’ 23 But now the baby is dead, so why should I refuse to eat? Can I bring the baby back to life? No. Someday I will go to him, but he cannot come back to me.” David was intimate with Bathsheba and they conceived another child which was Solomon meaning “loved by God.”

Speaking in faith and someone standing with you in faith can drive the blues away . The Shunammite woman 2 Kings 4,boy died. However, when people asked how she was doing she kept saying “all is well”. She went to the prophet Elisha he laid hands on the boy and he came back to life.

Testimony: I was having a challenging time at work in my department. Instead of singing the blues, I begin to thank God for my way of escape. A supervisor approached me concerning a position that would help me advance. People talked against the position, but I knew it was an answer to prayer. Since the move, I have got several raises and bonuses. It helped me pay for my dental surgery.

Instead of singing the blues, share God’s good news!

Prayer: Thank you God for delivering us through your Son Jesus. I repent for allowing situations to get the best of me. I pray when I am afflicted. I praise you God when my spirit is heavy. I declare the good news of your word and get with another believer to agree with me. I thank you God for the victory in advance! In Jesus name! Amen!

Trust In God’s Divinity, Concerning Your Identity!

We live in a world where everyone is searching for purpose and meaning. Everyone wants to be loved, cared for, and accepted. However, knowing who God created us to be and trusting His plan for our lives, we discover our identity.

Genesis 1:27:27 So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.

Jeremiah 1:5 :“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.

Jeremiah 29:11:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Psalm 139:14:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

1 Peter 2:9: But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light

We all have had an identity issue or experiencing an identity issue.

Some are struggling with how they were born. However we came into the world male or female and in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) that is the original design no matter how we feel. The devil tricked Eve by saying “did God really say?” The devil will plant thoughts into your head to go against God’s original design. No matter how you change your original design through doctors, it is not the original. God made male and female to come together in intimacy to create life and the original is for husband and wife. It says a man that finds a wife finds a good thing and has favor from the Lord (Proverbs 18:22). In order to have the favor of God it has to be the original plan. We have to go to the creator who created us .God’s nature does not change even though we change.

Some of us are struggling with knowing who we are. God knew us before we were formed(Jeremiah 1:5) We have to spend time with God through reading His word, through worship, and spending quiet time with Him to discover who we are. We are chosen by God,royal, holy, special, and people of light (Peter 1:29)

Some of us are struggling with our purpose and giving our situations over to God. God knows the plans He has for us. Plans to prosper us not to harm us, to give us a hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) God will lead and guide you through His word. No matter how we try to make things happen. If it is not the plan of God it will not work.

Some of us are struggling with how we look. God said he made things very good (Genesis 1:31). .Those that compare themselves to someone else is not wise (2 Corinthians 10:12. We are all uniquely designed and God made everything beautiful in His time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).. Beauty is what is on the inside notjust the outside. It is nothing wrong with enhancing yourself because some people are born with deformities, some are caused by accidents . Some people are born with disabilities and are going through an identity crisis, but God our creator cares and understands. God will guide and help us through if we ask Him. God loved us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die for us that is how valuable we are. We can’t put a price on that. If you do not know Jesus receive Him now. Romans 10:9-10: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Personal Testimony: I was insecure, timid, and shy growing up. I cried to my dad as a little girl and said my younger sister hair was longer than mine. My dad had a talk with me and let me know I am uniquely designed that we all have differences. My dad told me who I was in Jesus. It lifted my spirits. I use to dismiss confrontation. I wanted everyone to like me. However, once I start spending time alone with God I begin to discover my purpose and I am not afraid anymore to share the truth of God’s word in love. God’s perfect love is casting out all fear in me. My gift is to encourage others with their walk with God.. As long as I am accepted by God is all that matters!

Prayer: I praise you God for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are marvelous and I know it well. I repent for listening to other voices in my head, media, and others that is not in line with your word questioning who you made me to be. God you know the plans you have for me. Your plan is to prosper me not harm me. Your plan is to give me a hope and a future. God I surrender every area of my life to you. God help me in the areas that I have an identity challenge. In Jesus name! Amen!

Do Not be Concerned On How. Live In The Now!

God led me to two Christmas movies on Tuesday dealing with time. We are in a new year and all of us have things we want to improve and accomplish. However, do not get caught up on the future and forget about the present. I remember my Aunt Mary told to enjoy the journey. God also spoke to me with a phrase the next morning Enjoy Where You Are And You Will Go Far (Read it). I was so focused on my goals until I was not present. The only thing we can do is take it one day at a time and one step at a time trusting God to get us to our destination.

Philippians 4:6-7 New King James Version: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Proverbs 27;1 Do not boast about tomorrow,For you do not know what a day may bring forth.

James 4:13-15:13 Some of you say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to some city. We will stay there a year, do business, and make money.” Listen, think about this: 14 You don’t know what will happen tomorrow. Your life is like a fog. You can see it for a short time, but then it goes away. 15 So you should say, “If the Lord wants, we will live and do this or that.”

Matthew 6:34: “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Proverbs 16:9 New Living: We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.

Personal Testimony: Starting last year and the new year I am practicing more of being present by limiting my use of the phone, leaving it in another room when I am spending time with my family, and limiting social media unless I am posting my blog and words of encouragement as God leads me. God has really been guiding me last year and this year I am opening doors with speaking the word of God consistently, keeping it before my eyes, and talking about it when I get up and when I lay down so it is planted in my heart. God has been really correcting my speech as well as telling me to keep quiet on certain revelations until the time comes. I am taking it day by day and I am arriving at my destination. I am seeing progress as I take steps day by day. I mess up I repent and ask God to help me! God is perfecting me in patience so I can be whole and complete.

Do not be concerned how, live in the now!

Prayer: Lord you know the plans you have for me. It is plans to prosper me, not harm me. It is to give me a hope and a future. I am anxious for nothing, but through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving I make my requests known unto God and it gives me peace. I take it one day at a time. I let patience have its perfect work in me and I am whole lacking nothing. Thank you God for ordering my steps. I walk in obedience to your word to get to my destination. In Jesus name! Amen!

2024: An Open Door!

God gave me the phrase one morning. A lot of us are wanting certain doors to open for us. Some of us want to be married, have children, a new career/business, houses/land. new transportation, wealth, health, a peace of mind, restored relationships, and restoration of the soul. We should expect open doors in 2024 as believers, when we trust, believe, receive, and obey God. The main door that will open all of the doors is with the mouth, because death and life is in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21).

Psalm 141:3 Set a guard over my mouth, LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips.

2 Corinthians 4:13-18 Christian Standard: 13 And since we have the same spirit of faith in keeping with what is written, I believed, therefore I spoke, we also believe, and therefore speak. 14 For we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you. 15 Indeed, everything is for your benefit so that, as grace extends through more and more people, it may cause thanksgiving to increase to the glory of God.16 Therefore we do not give up. Even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day. 17 For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory. 18 So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Hebrews 10:23 Amplified Version:  23 Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to His word].

Personal Testimony: The assignment that I am on now, I kept speaking that I would be working there. I applied the first time and didn’t get in. However, I kept speaking it. I applied again and the door opened for me. I have been on the assignment ever since for many years and I have been promoted several times with pay increases.

2024: An Open Door!

Prayer: God, thank you for using my mouth to speak things in existence and creating me in your image and likeness. I repent for saying things that have kept the doors closed for me and keeping me in bondage. I believe in my heart and speak things into existence like my spiritual father Abraham. I call things in by using the door of my mouth. God, put a guard over my mouth and keep the door of my lips. Declaring 2024 an open door! In Jesus name! Amen!

Blood Bought And Paid, I Am Wonderfully And Fearfully Made

God sent His only Son Jesus to die on the cross for us; that is how valuable we are to God and how much He loves us. All we have to do is just believe in Him and receive to be in the family of God. God made each of us different, unique and with a purpose. No price can be put on us. We are worth God sacrificing Jesus to save us from eternal damnation. We can hold our heads up high walk confidently in the purpose for our lives.

Psalm 139:14 Amplified Version: 14 I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,And my soul knows it very well.

Genesis 1;27 Amplified Version: So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Jeremiah 1:5: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.

1 Corinthians 6:2o Amplified Version: 20 You were bought with a price [you were actually purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and made His own]. So then, honor and glorify God with your body.

1 Peter 2:9 : But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Personal Testimony: I started spending time with God as a young adult. I got into worship, praise, and reading God’s word. I was prompted to watch Esther on Netflix. It came to me after the movie to go on a fast. I went to sleep and God gave me a dream to do freelance writing. I researched freelance writing and blog jumped out to me.I confided in an advisor and I asked “What should I do a blog about?” My advisor asked me “What are you passionate about?” I told her I like to encourage people. Phrases started coming to me. It has been 5 years and God’s blessing adds no sorrow with it. it is effortless. My confidence grows as I spend more time with God.

Blood bought and paid, I am wonderfully and fearfully made!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for making me in your image and likeness. I walk in the purpose you have specifically for me. As I continue to spend time with God, I am being transformed. I use my body and life to glorify you. I can walk in boldness in confidence because you chose me and knew me before I was born. In Jesus name! Amen.
